Hello! My name is Caitlin Patterson and I am the founder and face behind Bluebird Song School. I am a singer-songwriter, a decade-long voice/piano/guitar teacher, and a life-long learner. I have always loved the craft of songwriting. As a little girl I remember writing simple poetry and wondering how I could make my words fit to music. In middle school I picked up my older sister's barely-touched guitar and started eking out chords and pairing them with my singing. I began to make music with no formal understanding of how music "works" or barometer on how "good" I was. Now, decades later, I have a rich and layered background with songwriting, vocal technique, and guitar-playing. I've gigged, written, completed music school, recorded, collaborated, and taught loads of budding (and blossomed) musicians. My own journey as a musician has given me confidence, a love of learning, space for creativity, connection with myself and others, and so much more. These are the same gifts I hope to nurture in my students!
Bluebird is a place where aspiring musicians of all levels can develop their skills, confidence, and creativity through private lessons and in collaborative small groups. Thanks for considering joining this community of learners and music-makers!
The Bluebird Mission

Music is meant to be shared.
Little Birdie believes in the magic that comes from learning and playing music with others! We believe in high-quality, creative, and collaborative music instruction for all levels and ages. One of Little Birdie's core beliefs is that music-making is best within a real-life community—nothing beats in-person. Little Birdie offers 1:1 instruction, as well as progressive, thoughtfully crafted group lessons. In our group classes, musicians (and aspiring musicians) come together to learn with and from one another over a 10-week period. Little Birdie hopes that music students leave their lessons and classes feeling empowered and inspired, having gained new skills, knowledge, artistic confidence, and connections with others.
